Dr. Michelle Allar, originally from upstate New York, was recruited in December 2014 to become part of the team at Beavercreek Orthodontics. Her strong work ethic, passion for community service, and dedication to dentistry is evident throughout her educational and professional career. While completing her undergraduate studies at Cornell University and her dental education at Stony Brook University, she was blessed with opportunities to build homes and provide dental care in Nicaragua, Madagascar and the Galapagos Islands. Dr. Michelle received her Master’s in Orthodontics from Saint Louis University. While in Saint Louis, she was part of the cleft lip and palate team at Children’s Hospital, she volunteered her time to provide dental care through the Boys & Girls Club of Greater St. Louis, all while caring for her patients in private practice.
Since the start of her career in Dayton, she has stayed actively involved in dentistry as a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, Dayton Dental Society, Seattle Study Club, and serves as the southwest director of the Ohio Association of Orthodontists. She has published articles in esteemed orthodontic journals PDF and plans on continuing to contribute to orthodontic education in this manner. Dr. Michelle is certified to teach and she enjoys spreading her knowledge to local dental teams in the area on various topics.
